Your area of responsibility

• Develop, maintain, and enhance firmware for embedded systems across platforms such as TI C2000, ARM Cortex, Microchip PIC, STM32, NXP MKE14Z, and ProASIC
• Design, implement, and verify FPGA solutions for scan‑amplifier systems using Altera FPGAs with Quartus Prime or comparable development environments
• Collaborate closely with international, cross‑functional teams to integrate new tools and standardize firmware development practices; occasional international travel may be required
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize firmware and FPGA designs to ensure high performance and reliability
• Create clear and structured documentation and actively support knowledge transfer within the team in accordance with established global processes

Your profile

• Proven experience in embedded firmware development on microcontroller platforms such as TI C2000, ARM Cortex, or comparable architectures, using bare‑metal approaches and/or schedulers or real‑time operating systems (RTOS)
• Hands‑on experience in FPGA design using VHDL and/or Verilog
• Experience working within structured stage‑gate development processes, including both peer reviews and formal design reviews
• Solid understanding of Z‑domain mathematics with practical experience in algorithm development and implementation
• Strong programming skills in C and C++
• Basic understanding of electronics, particularly as applied to power supplies and power electronics
• Experience in industrial environments and/or high‑voltage applications is considered a strong advantage
• Team‑oriented mindset combined with the ability to work proactively and independently
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus
